Privacy Policy of the aniplanner Application

We care about your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data is collected by the aniplanner application (hereinafter referred to as the “Application”), for what purpose we process it, and how we ensure its security. Our goal is to collect only the minimum amount of data necessary for the proper functioning of the Application.

1. Data Controller

The controller of the personal data of the Application users is: Tomasz Wagner, creator of the aniplanner application. Contact regarding personal data protection and the operation of the Application is available via e-mail: aniplanner.app@gmail.com.

2. What data do we collect and why?

We only process data that you voluntarily enter into the Application while using it:

E-mail address and password: This data is necessary for account registration, verifying your identity during login, and protecting your account against unauthorized access. The e-mail address may also be used to contact you (e.g., to recover a forgotten password).
Data concerning animals (dogs and cats): Information about your pets (e.g., name, breed, age) that you enter into the Application is processed solely to provide the planning and pet profile features.
Points on the map: Geographical coordinates and descriptions of the points you add to the map in the Application are processed to enable you to use the interactive map and save your chosen locations.

3. Legal basis for data processing

We process your data in accordance with GDPR regulations on the following bases:

Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): Processing your e-mail address, password, and map points is necessary to provide the service electronically – i.e., for the Application to physically work and provide its features to you.
User consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): Providing data about your pets is completely voluntary. By entering it into the Application, you consent to its processing for the purpose of maintaining the pet’s profile. You can edit or delete this data at any time.

4. To whom do we transfer your data?

We do not sell or share your data with marketing entities. For the Application to function, we use trusted technological service providers to whom we entrust data processing:

Supabase / Cloud infrastructure providers: Our database is located on secure servers of an infrastructure provider, where your account data, animal information, and map points are stored.
Map service providers: To display the map and the marked points, the Application may use external APIs (e.g., OpenStreetMap / Mapbox / Google Maps), transmitting only the data necessary to render the map.

5. Data retention period

We store your data only for the time you have an active account in the Application. If you decide to delete your account, all data associated with it (including e-mail address, password, pet profiles, and added map points) will be permanently and irreversibly deleted from our database in the shortest possible technical timeframe.

6. Your rights

According to the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your data:

The right to access your data and receive a copy of it.
The right to rectify (correct) your data.
The right to erase data (“the right to be forgotten”) by deleting your account in the Application.
The right to restrict processing or object to processing.
The right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority dealing with personal data protection.

7. Data security

The security of your data is our priority. The connection between the Application and the database is fully encrypted using the SSL/HTTPS protocol. Your password is one-way encrypted (hashed) using modern cryptographic algorithms – this means that no one (including the Controller) knows your password in text form.

8. Changes to the Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Application develops and new features are added. We will inform users of any significant changes within the Application or via e-mail.
